365JL Pok Deng: Hand Ranks, Deng Payouts & Draw Odds

About one two-card deal in five is a pok, a total of 8 or 9 that ends the hand on the spot (our calculation). That one fact drives Pok Deng at 365JL: pok first, taem second, deng last. Here are the hand ranks, payouts, third-card odds and the table details we do not publish.

Pok Deng at 365JL: where it sits in the Card Games lobby

Pok Deng is a card table game listed in the 365JL Card Games lobby, next to 13 Killer, Lieng, Bai Cao and Black Jack. The category is PVP-style: tables come from GFG Gaming, Rich Game and King’s Poker, and each game is ranked under its own rules. Pok Deng comes from Thailand, and it is the game in that list where two cards alone can settle a round before anyone draws.

  • Where: the Card Games category at 365JL, in PVP-style tables.
  • Deck: a standard 52-card deck. An ace counts 1, cards 2 to 9 count face value, and 10, jack, queen and king count 0.
  • Score: the last digit of your total, called taem, from 0 to 9.
  • Hand size: two cards, with one optional third card.
  • Eligibility: members aged 21 and above.

We do not publish which of the three providers runs the Pok Deng table, so this guide uses standard Pok Deng rules and marks every place where a 365JL table may differ.

How a Pok Deng round runs, from the stake to the showdown

Every round follows the same six steps. The arithmetic matters more than the card art, so read step 3 twice.

  1. Stake. Place your stake in ₱ before any card is dealt. The stake is the unit that deng multiplies later.
  2. Deal. You and the banker each receive two cards.
  3. Count. Add the card values, drop the tens digit and keep the last digit. That digit is your taem.
  4. Pok check. If your first two cards total 8 or 9, you hold a pok. It is shown at once, nobody draws, and pok 9 beats pok 8.
  5. Draw or stand. Without a pok you may take one third card or keep your two.
  6. Showdown. Hands are compared by type, then taem, then deng.

Take a 7 and a 5. The total is 12, so the taem is 2, not 12. Add a king, worth 0, and the taem stays 2. Add a 9 instead and the total becomes 21, so the taem drops to 1. That last-digit habit is where most beginner mistakes start.

The order in which the banker acts, and whether the banker may draw under fixed conditions, differs between tables. We do not publish that sequence for 365JL tables.

Pok Deng hand ranking and deng: what beats what and how much it multiplies

Ranking runs pok, then tong, then sam lueang, then every other hand. Inside the same type, the higher taem wins. Deng, the payout multiplier, comes last and decides the size of the result, not who wins.

Rank Hand How it forms Deng
1 Pok 9 or pok 8 Two cards totalling 9 or 8 1, or 2 if both cards share a suit or a rank
2 Tong Three cards of the same rank 5
3 Sam lueang Three picture cards (J, Q, K) that are not three of a kind 3
4 Normal three-card hand Any other three cards, taem 0 to 9 3 if all three share a suit, otherwise 1
5 Normal two-card hand Two cards, taem 0 to 7 2 if both share a suit or a rank, otherwise 1

A pok that also carries 2 deng, called pok deng, turns up in about 5.43% of two-card deals, roughly 1 in 18.4 (our calculation). Any two-card hand that shares a suit or a rank, the 2-deng condition, appears in 29.41% of deals, roughly 1 in 3.4.

Some tables also count a straight as 3 deng and a straight flush as 5 deng. We do not publish whether 365JL tables use that variant, so check the table rules before you rely on it.

How Pok Deng payouts settle: type, taem, then deng

Standard settlement works in three layers, and the order is the whole trick.

  • Type or taem differs: the winner receives the stake times the winner’s deng.
  • Type and taem are equal: the winner receives the stake times the difference in deng.
  • Everything is equal: the round is a tie and the stake is returned.

Here are three examples, each with a ₱100 stake. They are illustrative and use standard rules.

  1. You hold taem 6 with 2 deng (two suited cards) and the banker holds taem 4 with 1 deng. The taem differs, so you win 100 × 2 = ₱200.
  2. Both hands are normal hands with taem 7. You have 3 deng (three suited cards) and the banker has 2 deng. The taem is equal, so you win 100 × (3 − 2) = ₱100.
  3. You hold taem 6 with 1 deng and the banker holds a pok 8 with 2 deng. The type differs and the pok wins, so you lose 100 × 2 = ₱200.

Notice the asymmetry in example 3: a loss to a high-deng hand costs more than your stake. Under standard rules a tong against you costs 5 times the stake. We do not publish the settlement table for 365JL’s own tables, so treat these numbers as the common rule, not a 365JL promise.

Draw or stand: what the third card does to a Pok Deng hand

A third card adds its value to your total and keeps only the last digit, so it can improve your taem, leave it unchanged or lower it. The table below averages every two-card starting hand with taem 0 to 7, using one standard 52-card deck and the 50 cards left unseen (our calculation). It ignores deng and the banker’s hand.

Starting taem Third card improves Taem unchanged Taem gets worse
0 70.5% 29.5% 0%
1 61.3% 31.0% 7.8%
2 53.5% 31.0% 15.5%
3 45.8% 31.0% 23.2%
4 38.0% 31.0% 31.0%
5 31.0% 31.0% 38.0%
6 23.3% 31.0% 45.7%
7 15.5% 31.0% 53.5%

Read the table as a map of risk, not an instruction. Taem 0 can never get worse, while taem 7 gets worse 53.5% of the time. Deng moves the maths too. A third card replaces the 2-deng shape of a suited or paired two-card hand with a three-card shape, which pays 3 deng only when all three cards share a suit. The banker’s hand and the table rules matter as well, so we do not give an always-draw or always-stand rule.

What we publish about Pok Deng at 365JL, and what to check at the table first

Brand facts and table facts are different things. Here is the split.

What we publish

  • Pok Deng is in the Card Games category, in PVP-style tables.
  • Card Games at 365JL come from three providers: GFG Gaming, Rich Game and King’s Poker.
  • Members must be aged 21 and above.
  • Deposits and withdrawals carry no fees.
  • Live Chat is the only official support channel.

What we do not publish

  • Whether the banker is the house, a player or a rotating role.
  • The minimum and maximum ₱ stake for a Pok Deng hand.
  • Side bets, if any.
  • Round speed and the time you get to decide.
  • Whether straights count as 3 deng and straight flushes as 5 deng.
  • Which of the three providers runs the Pok Deng table.

365JL states that it is licensed by PAGCOR. That is the brand’s own statement, and we do not publish the licence number. Everything marked “standard” in this guide comes from general Pok Deng rules, not from a 365JL rulebook, so the table’s own rules are the ones to read before your first stake.

How to open Pok Deng at 365JL and what pays for a table

  1. Log in to your 365JL account on the web or in the app.
  2. Open the Card Games category.
  3. Choose Pok Deng from the game list.
  4. Pick a table, read its rules and limits, and only then place a stake.

A table is paid for from your cash balance. GCash deposits start at ₱20 on one channel and Maya at ₱50, with no transaction fees, and the 365JL deposit guide lists every channel. The welcome offer is for slots only, so it does not cover a card table, and the Maya 5% bonus applies to slots and fishing. The terms do not say whether card game rounds count toward the 30% withdrawal wagering rule, so ask Live Chat before you rely on it.

Seven tips for Pok Deng at 365JL that keep a hand’s cost visible

None of these tips changes the odds. Each one ties to a fact above and keeps the cost of a hand in view.

  1. Count the last digit only. A 7 and a 5 make 12, which is taem 2. A king or a 10 adds nothing, so say the taem out loud before you decide.
  2. Plan for the other four deals in five. A pok appears in 19.0% of two-card deals, so in about 81% of your hands there is no pok and you face the draw decision.
  3. Budget for the deng, not only the stake. Under standard rules a tong costs 5 times the stake, so a ₱100 stake can lose ₱500 in one hand. Pick a stake where five times fits your session budget.
  4. Read the third-card table before you draw. At taem 7 a draw makes the hand worse 53.5% of the time. At taem 5 it improves 31.0%, changes nothing 31.0% and worsens 38.0%.
  5. Ask about straights first. Whether a straight is 3 deng and a straight flush 5 deng changes how a hand settles, and we do not publish that rule.
  6. Set the session budget before the first deal. Write the ₱ amount down and stop when it is gone.
  7. Ask Live Chat about the banker role and limits before your first stake, and play only with money you can afford to lose. Pok Deng at 365JL is for members aged 21 and above.

Who Pok Deng at 365JL suits, and where it falls short

Pok Deng suits members who like a short decision loop. There is one choice per hand, draw or stand, and the maths is small enough to keep in your head: a last digit, a handful of hand types and a deng multiplier from 1 to 5. If you enjoy knowing why a hand won, the type, taem and deng order gives you that.

It falls short for anyone who wants published table facts. We do not publish stake limits, the banker role, side bets or a per-game RTP for Pok Deng. Variance per hand is also wider than a flat-bet table, because under standard rules a 5-deng loss costs five times the stake. If you prefer a fixed outcome per round, a different game in the lobby may fit better, and Live Chat can answer questions the lobby does not.

Pok Deng at 365JL: frequently asked questions

Five quick answers on the rules that matter most before your first Pok Deng hand.

What counts as a pok in Pok Deng?

A pok is a two-card hand whose total ends in 8 or 9, such as 9 and 9 (18) or king and 8 (8). It is shown at once and nobody draws a third card. Pok 9 beats pok 8. About 19.0% of two-card deals are a pok, by our calculation.

What does deng mean for how much I win?

Deng is a multiplier on the stake: 2 for two suited or paired cards, 3 for three suited cards or sam lueang, 5 for tong. If type or taem differs, the winner collects the stake times their deng. If both match, the deng difference is paid. These are standard rules, not 365JL’s published table rules.

Can I draw a third card, and should I?

Without a pok you may usually take one third card, but whether you should depends on your taem. At taem 5 the third card improves the hand 31.0% of the time, changes nothing 31.0% and worsens it 38.0% (our calculation, ignoring deng and the banker). We do not give an always-draw rule.

Do I play against the house or other players at 365JL?

Card Games at 365JL are PVP-style tables from three providers: GFG Gaming, Rich Game and King’s Poker. We do not publish whether the banker at a Pok Deng table is the house, a player or a rotating role. Live Chat, our only official support channel, can answer for the table you open.

How is Pok Deng different from baccarat?

Both score a hand by the last digit and end early on a natural 8 or 9. Baccarat follows fixed third-card rules, while Pok Deng lets you choose to draw or stand, and adds deng multipliers from 1 to 5 that change how much a result is worth. The 365JL lobby lists them as separate games.

Conclusion

Pok Deng at 365JL comes down to three checks, always in the same order: is there a pok, whose taem is higher, and how much does deng multiply the result. A pok appears in about 19.0% of two-card deals, a 2-deng shape in 29.41%, and a tong can cost five times the stake. Before you sit down, read the table’s own rules, decide your ₱ budget and keep Live Chat open for anything we do not publish. If you need funds first, start with the deposit guide above.
